The Porsche 911 Spirit 70 is the third model in Porsche's Heritage Design series, and the most evocative so far. Limited to 1,500 units worldwide and built on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet platform, this special-edition convertible pays tribute to the aesthetic energy of the 1970s and early 1980s. It is developed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and arrives with a system output of 398 kW (541 hp) from its efficient performance hybrid, a starting price of around 187,700 pounds in the UK, and a level of personalisation that places it firmly in collector territory.
What Is the Porsche Heritage Design Strategy?
Porsche has committed to one Heritage Design edition for each decade of the company's history between the 1950s and 1980s. The Spirit 70 follows the 356 and 911 S/T-inspired entries and draws its identity from the bold graphic language, op-art patterns, and vivid colour palettes that defined Porsche's motorsport presence in the seventies. It is a collector's edition in the truest sense: not merely a cosmetic package but a fully re-imagined expression of a specific cultural moment in the brand's timeline.

Colour, Pasha Fabric, and the Spirit 70 Exterior
Four exterior colours are available: Olive Neo Green, Bronzite Orange, GT Silver Metallic, and solid Black. Each is paired with optional psychedelic decals that echo the racing liveries of the era. The centrepiece of the identity is the revived Pasha pattern, an op-art checkerboard motif from Porsche's original archives that features across the seat centres, dashboard accents, and other interior surfaces. Sport Classic centre-locking wheels in 20-inch front and 21-inch rear carry colour-matched Bronzite spoke finishes, and the cabriolet soft top and windscreen frame are finished in black throughout.

Performance and Modern Technology
Beneath the period-correct visual language, the Spirit 70 is a fully contemporary 911. The GTS Cabriolet base delivers 541 hp through a hybrid powertrain and a PDK transmission, with all the driving dynamics and safety systems of the current 911 range. Porsche pairs the car with a bespoke Porsche Design chronograph that mirrors the Spirit 70 dial graphics, and owners can configure their car inside a dedicated immersive app compatible with Apple Vision Pro, a retro-themed virtual environment unlike anything previously offered alongside a production vehicle.
Porsche's own official newsroom announcement details the full specification, and Jalopnik's coverage explains how the Pasha pattern's return makes the Spirit 70 one of the most sought-after Heritage editions to date. European deliveries began in April 2025, with other markets to follow.
