SADAIR’S SPEAR IS KOENIGSEGG’S ULTIMATE TRIBUTE TO TRACK PERFORMANCE

SADAIR’S SPEAR IS KOENIGSEGG’S ULTIMATE TRIBUTE TO TRACK PERFORMANCE

Sadair's Spear is Koenigsegg's most focused track weapon to date, a limited-edition megacar that delivers 1,625 hp on E85 fuel and is strictly limited to 30 units. Unveiled in 2025 as a tribute to Jesko von Koenigsegg, father of company founder Christian von Koenigsegg, and named after Jesko's beloved racehorse, the Sadair's Spear builds on the Jesko's platform with a comprehensive aero overhaul, revised engine mapping, and a minimalist interior stripped back for pure track performance.

What Is Koenigsegg's Sadair's Spear?

Sadair's Spear is a track-only evolution of the Koenigsegg Jesko, the 1,600 hp hypercar that was itself limited to 125 units and sold out immediately. Where the Jesko was designed to be equally usable on road and track, Sadair's Spear focuses entirely on the circuit. The car weighs just over 1,360 kg (approximately 3,000 lb), and every modification made over the Jesko baseline is aimed at improving lap times through better aerodynamics, more grip at lower speeds, and improved driver information systems. All 30 units sold out at around 3.8 million euros each.

How Does Sadair's Spear Improve on the Jesko?

The power increase is meaningful but secondary to the aerodynamic improvements. Revised engine mapping lifts output to 1,300 hp on regular unleaded and 1,625 hp on E85, compared to 1,280 hp and 1,600 hp on the standard Jesko. The more significant changes come from the active top-mounted rear wing, which uses a double-blade design with a straight profile optimized for maximum downforce at lower speeds, generating grip earlier in a corner than the Jesko's wing could. Underfloor strakes, enlarged front hood vents, and adjusted front-to-rear aero balance work together to create a more stable, predictable platform. The Active Ride Height system and Koenigsegg's Light Speed Transmission, which can shift between all gears without a torque interruption, are carried over and refined.

What Is the Interior Like?

Koenigsegg stripped the interior of anything that does not serve a track function. Carbon fiber seats can be specified with optional six-point racing harnesses. The center console is simplified and lightened relative to the standard Jesko. The steering-mounted SmartCluster displays critical driving data directly in the driver's line of sight, minimizing the need to look away from the track. Koenigsegg's Autoskin system, which allows all body panels to open and close electronically, is retained. Christian von Koenigsegg described the development process as a "relentless pursuit" of optimization, aiming to make every detail contribute to what he called "something special" for the track.
