Experienced custom motorcycle builder Matthew Waddick has been producing electric bikes for a while. Together with former Yamaha Japan designer Michel Riis, the two founded Switch and introduced the eScrambler, the company's first bike.

The eScrambler, which borrows design inspirations from flat trackers and classic motorcycles from the 1970s, backs up its stylish appearance with performance that old ICE bikes could only dream of: 0-62 MPH in 3.5 seconds, a peak speed of 160km/h, and a range of 150km on a single charge.

Belt power delivery is utilized for smooth power distribution and requires less maintenance than a chain drive since the swingarm pivots at the output shaft, reducing the need for complicated gearing.

The combination of a rear monoshock and 18-inch KTM rims provides extreme rideability. Switch is now doing testing for a road-legal version scheduled by Q1 2023. The eScrambler can be pre-ordered via Switch Motorcycles website.
