The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro is The Most Insane Track Toy to Date - TheArsenale

Shortly after the reveal of the 2018 Vantage and Vantage GTE, Aston Martin strikes again with a bright neon green hypercar. Dubbed the Valkyrie AMR Pro, the car will be a track only car set to come in 2020.

Created by Adrian Newey, a world renowned Formula 1 designer; the Valkyrie AMR Pro features aerodynamic bodywork that significantly ups the downforce. An active aerodynamic control system will allow the drivers to adapt the driving experience for each track. The hypercar will use a 6.5 litre Cosworth V12 engine with a top speed of 402 km/h. Based on Red Bull Technology's simulations, the Valkyrie AMR Pro will have lap times to match modern F1 or LMP1 cars.

To achieve an insanely low weight, they removed unnecessary items for the track like infotainment screens, heater/de-mister blower and replacing the traditional windscreen with a lightweight polycarbonate one. The side screens are also polycarbonate and the bodywork is built out of carbon fibre. Wishbones and suspension uprights are also made out of carbon fibre. Instead of traditional seats, the Valkyrie AMR Pro uses moulded race seats.

If you are thinking about buying one of these babies, take note that Aston Martin will only build 25 of them. They are set to arrive in 2020 and guess what? They're already sold out. Sorry, buddy.
