XYTE Mobility’s latest innovation, the aptly named XYTE One, is reshaping perceptions of urban transport. Designed as a compact, three-wheeled electric vehicle, the One offers a unique blend of scooter-like agility and car-like safety. With a protective safety cell encasing the driver, it eliminates the legal need for a helmet and operates with a standard European Class B (car) license. The vehicle is powered by an electric motor delivering 25 horsepower (19 kW) and 40 lb-ft (55 Nm) of torque, with a top speed of 61 mph (99 km/h). Additionally, its 7.6-kWh battery provides up to 70 miles (112 km) of range, making it well-suited for short city commutes. Charging from 20% to 80% takes just over two hours using compatible chargers, further making it convenient for the urban workforce.
The XYTE One isn’t just efficient; it’s highly practical and thoughtfully engineered. The trike boasts a spacious 72-liter (2.47-cubic-foot) trunk to handle everyday errands, such as grocery runs, complementing its city-friendly, compact design. It also includes a reverse gear, making maneuvers in tight urban environments convenient. With modern features like a 10-inch touchscreen, LTE connectivity, and app-enabled remote navigation and vehicle monitoring, the One embraces cutting-edge tech while prioritizing user needs. Safety is fortified with a 3-channel ABS braking system and a double-wishbone suspension, ensuring confident handling for its 454-lb (206-kg) frame. Impressively, its low 24.8-inch (630-mm) seat height and balanced weight distribution promise ergonomic comfort even for less experienced riders.
Currently priced at a promotional €13,008 (US$15,288) for the first 500 units, the XYTE One has already sparked significant attention across European cities like Munich, Paris, and Barcelona. Showcased at the IAA Mobility event in Munich in September 2025, the One debuted as a compelling alternative to traditional scooters and small electric cars. By combining accessibility, safety, and zero-emission functionality, it has opened the door to a new category of urban vehicles that prioritize both practicality and peace of mind. As urban mobility evolves, the XYTE One could very well lead the charge toward a cleaner, safer, and more connected mode of individual transportation.
