BANZAI Skateboard Series #01
In 1976, Banzai Inc. Released one of the most timeless skateboard designs in the culture’s history. Made entirely from anodized aluminum, it went on to become an icon of sidewalk surfing. And a highly desirable collectible.
43 years after the initial release Baznai Skates is paying tribute to the original Banzai with a limited edition rerun of 500 pieces.
Each Banzai skateboard comes in a high-grade collector’s box featuring signed art prints by David Carson, Jay Nelson, Nathaniel Russell, Todd Glaser, or Cole Barash.
Limited to 50 pieces per color and size, two board sizes (Medium 23.5” & Large 28.5”).
The medium size of this aluminum board celebrates the original slalom vibe of the 70s in all of its glory. The shaky behavior of its predecessor is now gone but the original nimble and quick spirit of the short wheelbase is well preserved. Being lower to the ground alongside a narrower shape it is perfect for anyone trying to relive the original vibe of the 70s skateboarding.
The large model of the skateboard gives you a more modern feel when riding. The thicker, shock-absorbing riser pads makes hovering through the city a blast. The specially heat-treated aluminum alloy allows stability and power transmission at any speed. The team at Banzai was able to preserve the vibe of the 70s that this skateboard gives and turn it into a riding sensation.
