About the Artist

Since he started out as a photographer, Mathieu Cesar goes all in with the black and white, creating a sense of ambiguity of time. “I’ve always been told that black and white was less appealing to buyers than color, he remarks, but in fact, it is color that dates the photographs. Black and white make them timeless.”
