D. Franklin by Tamarit Motorcycles

The D. Franklin by Tamarit Motorcycles is a full ground-up restoration and custom rebuild of a 2016 Triumph Bonneville T100, produced by Valencia's most celebrated custom house for one of their most demanding clients, and widely regarded as one of the finest builds in Tamarit's career.

The Story

Mariano brought his Triumph Bonneville to Tamarit Motorcycles with a simple request: a few tweaks. But when he saw what the Valencia studio was producing for other clients, he upgraded the brief entirely. The Bonneville had spent most of its life parked by the sea, barely ridden, and the salt air had taken its toll: rust had crept into the trims, and the chrome had lost its fight with the Mediterranean climate. Tamarit stripped the motorcycle to its bones, addressed every corroded component, and rebuilt it from the frame outward with a brief that balanced D. Franklin's personal aesthetic with the studio's own vision of what a modern classic should look like.

The Build

Tamarit handled design and paint entirely in-house, creating a livery that lifts the T100's proportions without competing with them. A custom handmade seat was fitted alongside hand-stitched leather grips, maintaining the tactile warmth expected from a machine at this level. Motogadget electronics replace the factory indicators front and rear; a Koso speedometer and Motogadget rear light bring the instrument cluster in line with the custom aesthetic while keeping the cockpit readable. A Bocanegra exhaust system transforms the T100's signature parallel-twin note into something deeper and more intentional, routed cleanly alongside a custom chaincover. Continental TMC80 tyres, Pantera springs, a Hummer sump guard, and relocated ignition switch complete a build where every original fastener was either replaced or justified.
