Reverso Match - Foldable Sailboat

The Reverso Match foldable sailboat is a French-built, ICNN-certified small sailboat that dismantles into four watertight sections, so it can live in a garage or the back of a car and be rigged again in minutes. Handmade in France as a limited numbered edition, it turns solo and family sailing into a plug-and-play sport.

The Design

Reverso's obsession is to shrink a serious dinghy into something transportable. The Match is their sportiest interpretation: a sleek dark grey hull with exclusive custom graphics, an electronic speed display and a rigid planing shape tuned for exhilarating solo runs. Fully dismountable, it folds down to just 145 cm long, 92 cm wide and 73 cm high, small enough for a hallway closet or a car roof.

What Makes It

The rigid planing hull is composed of four closed sections that float independently, joined by an oversized doubled Tension Dynamics locking system pre-stretched on Reverso's test bench. Construction combines a bi-axial fiberglass structure, a Soric honeycomb core and carbon reinforcements, using a high-end infusion process for a light, stiff monolithic feel once assembled. Each hull section is equipped with a Gore-Tex venting system to manage internal air pressure. The whole boat is handmade in France and certified by ICNN, the French naval certification body.

On the Water

At 3.40 x 1.45 m, the Match takes up to 180 kg on board: one or two adults, or one adult and two children. The ultra-stable planing shape gives beginners confidence in flat water while rewarding experienced sailors with fast, dry runs when the breeze picks up. Because it packs into modules that float, transport and launch are radically simplified: no trailer, no dolly, no boatyard.
