The SOCR leather grips are a pair of hand-stitched motorcycle grips built by Mark Atkinson for the BMW K75 Alpha Landspeeder, sold as a bolt-on upgrade for any custom bike that deserves proper leatherwork on the bars.
The Origin
These grips were originally engineered for the record-chasing BMW K75 Alpha Landspeeder from the Speed of Cheese Racing garage, a bike built to hunt speed on the salt flats. Every pair is now hand made to the same specification by Mark Atkinson, whose leather work is prized inside the custom motorcycle scene for its close stitching, tight wrap, and long-term hand feel.
Materials
Each grip is wrapped in full-grain leather offered in three finishes (Tan, Brown, Black), letting you match the tone of the rest of your build. The core is a machined aluminium base available in black anodized or natural raw finish, so the metal complements either a blacked-out cockpit or a bare-metal, race-inspired look. The result is a set of grips that reads as a serious custom detail on both cafe racers and landspeeders.
