Surf Daytona

The Surf Daytona is a hand-shaped Shelby Cobra Daytona tribute surfboard by Racing & Emotion, built in Le Mans, France and inspired by the 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe that won the World Sportscar Championship.

The Story

Racing & Emotion is a Le Mans studio that turns motorsport icons into functional art. The Surf Daytona takes the 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona, the American coupe that broke Ferrari's grip on the GT class, and moves its colours and racing stripe onto a full-size surfboard. The result works on two levels: as a rideable board and as a wall piece for a collector's garage.

The Design

Each board is designed, shaped and finished entirely by hand, with the same detail focus Racing & Emotion applies to its motorsport chairs. The PU core is wrapped in fiberglass and sealed with polyester resin, a construction chosen for both durability in the water and finish quality when the board hangs on a wall. The 6'0" outline with a 20 1/4" width and 2 1/2" thickness sits in versatile shortboard territory.
