Story
Tamarit number 103, baptized Tata, revives the spirit of dirt-track racing with parts designed especially for this engine and style. The customer bought the bike to start the conversion, and once it arrived at the Tamarit workshop the result was a capable custom Triumph that can outstand everything you throw at it.
Inspired by Racing for Racing
Inspired by previous projects and dirt-oval racing, this Triumph Scrambler 1200 shows how to bring the spirit of dirt-track racing to a bike that is also functional in the city. For the colors of number 103 Tata, Tamarit went back to 1920s motor racing and British Racing Green, the color by which England was identified. The famous British marque later adapted it for its racing bikes as Competition Green, one of the protagonists of the Tata design alongside Chrome 80 and gold details.
Build
The client wanted satin black to predominate, so the conversion was completed with the engine block and fenders painted in satin black. Other components include:
- Single-seater dirt-track seat painted to match the tank.
- Customized frontal Atlas with the bike colors and number 35.
- Dakar exhaust that repels heat to prevent burns.
- High fender for greater protection, painted satin black.
- Fork covers for Scrambler 1200 painted in Chrome 80.
- New eliminator kit allowing the rear fender to be fully removed.
