A STEP INTO THE FUTURE WITH THE INFINITE MACHINE P1

A STEP INTO THE FUTURE WITH THE INFINITE MACHINE P1 - TheArsenale

The Infinite Machine P1 is a limited-edition electric urban vehicle designed to replace the scooter, moped, and entry-level motorcycle in dense city environments. Built for a first run of 1,000 units, it delivers a 55 mph top speed, 60-mile range, wireless CarPlay integration, and a Turbo Boost function, packed into an anodized aluminium and steel frame that parks between two cars on a standard city street.

What Is the Infinite Machine P1?

The P1 sits in a new category of personal electric vehicle that goes beyond what conventional scooters offer in terms of speed, range, and technology, while remaining compact enough for urban daily use. It is powered by a 6kW hub motor and equipped with two removable 72-volt 30Ah batteries that give it a real-world range of 60 miles per charge. Top speed is 55 mph, with a Turbo Boost mode that temporarily increases output at peak demand.

The vehicle is compact in every dimension. Its 1,400mm turning radius allows U-turns in tight spaces and makes it genuinely maneuverable in traffic. It can be parked at 90 degrees to a curb, fitting into gaps that a conventional motorcycle or scooter would struggle with.

Wireless CarPlay and Over-the-Air Updates

Wireless CarPlay integration is a first for this class of vehicle. It means the P1's display connects to an iPhone without cables, giving the rider navigation, music, and communications through a familiar interface. Vehicle control and real-time tracking are handled through a dedicated Infinite Machine app, which also manages remote locking and access sharing via NFC.

The P1 improves over time through over-the-air software updates, a feature borrowed from the automotive world that keeps the vehicle's capabilities current without a workshop visit. Security is handled at the hardware level: unauthorized tampering triggers an alarm and immobilizes the vehicle automatically.

No License Required up to 35 mph

One of the P1's most practical advantages is its licensing flexibility. In most US states and many international markets, no specific license is required to operate the vehicle at speeds up to 35 mph, making it accessible to a wider range of riders than a conventional motorcycle. At full speed, the standard license requirements for the local market apply.

Storage is built into the vehicle's architecture with modular cargo compartments that can be fitted to different positions on the frame. According to Infinite Machine's official specification page, base pricing started at 7,995 dollars for the initial launch edition, placing it above conventional scooters but well below the cost of a premium electric motorcycle. The detailed review at The Truth About Cars covers the riding experience in depth.
