BAC Mono Enters Our Universe
The BAC Mono is a road-legal single-seat supercar built by Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Weighing just 570 to 580 kg and producing up to 332 bhp from its 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Mono delivers a power-to-weight ratio that rivals dedicated racing cars. TheArsenale is proud to have established a partnership with BAC, making bespoke Mono orders available through our Macau store.
What Makes the BAC Mono Unique?
Founded in 2009 by brothers Neill and Ian Briggs, BAC occupies a singular niche in the sports car world: a road-legal single-seater that places the driver in a genuine racing cockpit. The Mono is exported to 47 countries and is known as much for its tailored build process as its performance. BAC builds each car around the individual buyer's body dimensions, adjusting the pedal box, steering column, and seat to fit the owner precisely. There is no off-the-shelf Mono.
Specifications: Light, Fast, Focused
The Mono's 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 332 bhp in the current generation, paired with over 400 Nm of torque. Curb weight stands at approximately 570 kg, yielding a power-to-weight ratio approaching 570 bhp per tonne. The result: 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph, numbers that put the Mono on par with dedicated track machines. Earlier generations used a naturally aspirated 2.3-litre engine producing 285 bhp, with the car weighing 575 kg at the time TheArsenale first partnered with BAC.
Carbon Fiber and Graphene Construction
Every panel on the BAC Mono is made from carbon composite materials. The Mono R variant, introduced in 2019, became the first production car in the world to incorporate graphene-enhanced carbon fibre across every body panel, further reducing weight to 555 kg while increasing rigidity. The tubular steel driver safety cell includes FIA-compliant rollover protection, giving the car genuine racing-grade crash structure.
TheArsenale and BAC: A Natural Partnership
TheArsenale's partnership with BAC reflects our shared philosophy that true performance vehicles are objects of obsession, not mass production. The BAC Mono is available for bespoke order through TheArsenale's Macau location, where the team can guide buyers through the full personalisation process. Each car is built to its owner's exact body dimensions, making every Mono genuinely one of a kind.
