DAB MOTORS CELEBRATES OLYMPIC SPIRIT WITH ‘A LA GLOIRE DU SPORT’ COLLECTION

DAB MOTORS CELEBRATES OLYMPIC SPIRIT WITH ‘A LA GLOIRE DU SPORT’ COLLECTION - TheArsenale

DAB Motors' custom electric motorbike collection 'A la gloire du sport' is a five-piece tribute to the Paris 2024 Olympics, using the DAB 1alpha as its canvas to celebrate five iconic sports through color, craft, and two-wheeled design. Each bike in the collection takes one of the five Olympic rings' colors, then remaps that color onto a specific sport: blue for surfing, green for tennis, yellow for basketball, red for boxing, and black for skateboarding. The result is less a product launch and more a moving installation, with every model serving as an artistic statement on what sport means in the city.

Five Olympic colors, five sport-themed electric motorcycles

The DAB 1alpha is the shared platform behind every bike in the collection. Built in France, it produces 25.5 kW, delivers up to 395 Nm of torque at the wheel, reaches a top speed of 130 kph, and covers up to 150 km on a single charge. That base is powerful enough to carry the heavy customization each variant demands without compromising ride quality.

The blue variant targets surfers: it carries a dedicated surfboard rack, off-road tires, a silver fork, and a neoprene-clad saddle that channels salt-air freedom. The green model goes to the tennis court, with a racket holder, carriage for tennis balls and picnic essentials, and a green-and-white tartan seat. The yellow bike honors basketball and hip-hop street culture with vibrant graphics that pull from the game's urban roots.

Boxing, skateboarding, and the black bike

The red machine is built around boxing: deep crimson bodywork, golden side panels designed to evoke championship belt detailing, and a silhouette that reads as strength before the engine even starts. Finally, the black bike is the most complex build in the collection. Hand-painted graffiti covers the carbon bodywork, BMX handlebar foam wraps the bars, protective crash pods guard the frame, a tubular protection structure adds attitude, and a skate rack rounds out a bike that belongs equally in a halfpipe car park and a gallery wall.

Simon Dabadie and the vision behind the collection

DAB Motors founder Simon Dabadie positions the 'A la gloire du sport' project as more than visual exercise. For Dabadie, each bike is a homage to sportsmanship, a way to channel the energy of the Games into an object people can ride, touch, and own. The collection also demonstrates what the DAB 1alpha can carry in terms of customization: it is not a standard motorcycle adapted after the fact but a platform designed for transformation, with every variant retaining full road legality and performance integrity.

DAB Motors, backed by Peugeot Motocycles and recognized with a Red Dot Design Award, has built its reputation on small-series electric motorcycles that treat the machine as a medium. Previous collaborations with Alcantara and Airbus (for upcycled carbon fiber components) show the brand's commitment to premium materials alongside sustainability. The Olympic collection extends that philosophy to cultural storytelling.

Where custom electric motorcycles meet sport culture

The 'A la gloire du sport' collection lands at the intersection of DAB Motors' electric motorcycle design language and the sporting codes that dominate modern urban culture. Each bike reads immediately as a collector piece, but none compromises on the DAB 1alpha's core technical promise: a French-built electric powertrain, a light frame, and performance that competes well above its 125cc category classification.

If the theme-based approach to motorbike customization is the concept, the underlying machine ensures there is real capability behind every graphic choice. This is what separates the 'A la gloire du sport' collection from simple lifestyle branding: you can actually ride these bikes, and ride them fast.
