DACIA MANIFESTO - THEIR BRAND-NEW EV CONCEPT

DACIA MANIFESTO - THEIR BRAND-NEW EV CONCEPT - TheArsenale

There is no official Dacia Manifesto price, because the Manifesto is a design study rather than a car you can buy. It is a fully electric, all-wheel-drive off-road concept that Dacia uses as a mobile testing ground for ideas, from puncture-proof airless tires to recycled body materials, that may reach future production models. It made its public premiere at the 2022 Paris Motor Show.

What is the Dacia Manifesto?

The Dacia Manifesto is an all-wheel-drive electric concept whose design recalls a lunar rover. It deliberately drops the windshield and doors as part of a mission to place as few barriers as possible between occupants and nature, taking the open-air idea further than a Jeep Wrangler or Ford Bronco. As Carscoops notes, it is pitched squarely at outdoor enthusiasts who want a rugged, go-anywhere EV.

How much does the Dacia Manifesto cost?

Dacia never announced a Manifesto price, since the model is a concept that is not destined for production. Instead of a showroom figure, the value of the Manifesto lies in the ideas it previews, several of which Dacia plans to apply to future models. So while you cannot order one, its DNA is set to live on across the range.

What are the airless tires?

The most apparent design feature is the set of enormous airless tires. They are puncture-proof and engineered to last almost as long as the car itself, removing the risk of flats far from civilisation and cutting waste over the vehicle's life. According to Autocar, this featherweight all-terrain approach is central to the Manifesto's outdoors-first philosophy.

What is the Manifesto interior made of?

The whole Dacia name is incorporated into the rear brake lamps, and the new logo is displayed on the illuminated front grille. Inside, Dacia used Starkle, a novel body-panel material that contains 29% recycled plastic, along with other eco-friendly elements throughout the cabin. The result is an interior built to shrug off the elements while keeping the brand's focus on affordability and sustainability.
