AZULIK Mobility, part of the innovative AZULIK Real Estate, has recently unveiled the prototype of their concept doorless electric car, EK. This vehicle is not just a mode of transportation but a statement piece that beautifully merges organic architecture with advanced digital and computational processes. Designed with a curvaceous fiberglass body and without doors, the EK provides a unique, open-air driving experience. The vehicle seats three people, includes a nautical fabric-upholstered tabletop, and features a distinctive wooden steering wheel crafted from tropical zapote wood, highlighting AZULIK’s dedication to integrating natural materials into their designs.
The EK is manufactured by Roth Fablab, an outfit known for working closely with local artisans and sourcing regional materials from their headquarters in Francisco Uh May, Mexico. The prototype has a 2,200W engine, charges fully in eight to ten hours, and offers a maximum speed of 40 km/hr, suitable for AZULIK Basin's private property—a real estate venture by AZULIK. Despite its modest speed, the EK delivers an impressive range of up to 100 kilometers on a single charge, making it ideal for short, leisurely commutes within the expansive property.
Functional yet evidently conceptual, the vehicle is equipped with modern amenities such as wireless phone charging, a reverse camera display, and a digital tachometer. The EK’s design inspirations are evident in every detail, from its spider-web-like steering wheel to the thermoformed acrylic used for the windshield. This first prototype launched on May 20, 2024, exemplifies how AZULIK Mobility leverages cutting-edge manufacturing techniques alongside traditional craftsmanship, illustrating a compelling vision for the future of eco-friendly, aesthetically pleasing transportation.
