The Ford GT LM Edition is the final chapter of one of the most celebrated supercar stories of the modern era. Ford built just 20 examples to close the book on the third-generation GT, and each one carries a literal piece of Le Mans history: a badge 3D-printed from the powdered crankshaft of the race-winning No. 69 Ford GT that crossed the line at La Sarthe in 2016.
What Makes the Ford GT LM Edition Special?
With the LM Edition, Ford GT production comes to a definitive end. The car is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 producing 660 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, with a top speed of 216 mph. Every LM Edition rolls out in Liquid Silver with 20-inch wheels and a choice of red or blue brake highlights and matching Brembo caliper color, echoing the livery of the 2016 Le Mans GT winner.
The Heritage Detail: A Crankshaft Reborn
Ford tracked down the disassembled engine from the No. 69 Le Mans GT, ground its crankshaft into a fine powder, and used that alloy to 3D-print the instrument panel badge fitted to each of the 20 LM Editions. It is the kind of provenance that no other supercar manufacturer can replicate, and it ensures every owner carries an authentic fragment of motorsport history on their dashboard.
Titanium Exhaust and Carbon Trim
The LM Edition is the only Ford GT variant to feature a 3D-printed GT LM insignia and a titanium exhaust with a cyclonic flow design. The exterior gets exposed carbon fiber trim in either red or blue tint on the front splitter, side sills, door sills, engine bay louvers, mirror stalks, and rear diffuser. The lightweight approach is part of what keeps the GT competitive: the mid-engined carbon-fiber monocoque architecture that debuted in 2017 reaches its most refined expression in this final run of cars.
Interior: Alcantara, Ebony, and Carbon
Inside, the LM Edition uses Alcantara-wrapped carbon fiber seats, Ebony leather with accent stitching matching the exterior color choice, and a carbon fiber trim package throughout the cabin. Deliveries began in autumn 2022, with manufacturing completing at the end of that year.
