HOW THE PERALTA S BRINGS THE 70S INTO THE FUTURE

The Peralta S is a breathtaking one-off supercar that perfectly blends retro design aesthetics with modern performance. First showcased at the Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico, this bespoke creation was brought to life by Fabrizio Giugiaro and his design studio, GFG Style. Inspired by the iconic 1971 Maserati Boomerang, a revolutionary wedge-shaped concept car designed by Fabrizio’s father, Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Peralta S serves as a tribute to the bold styling of the 1970s. Crafted for a private collector, the Peralta S is based on the Maserati MC20 but elevated with hand-bent, mirror-polished aluminum and nods to historical Italian automotive design. With its seamless silhouette and an immense attention to detail, the car proudly redefines the spirit of bespoke coachbuilding.

Beneath its futuristic yet nostalgic exterior lies the heart of the Maserati MC20—a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine producing 621 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, rockets the Peralta S from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph. Though much of its performance remains rooted in the MC20, the Peralta S distinguishes itself in terms of design. Its ultra-sleek aluminum body, accented by exposed carbon fiber elements on the side sills, front spoiler, and rear diffuser, creates a sense of unmatched uniqueness. Giugiaro’s decision to replace the MC20’s gullwing doors with a single hinged roof door further adds to its exclusivity, while clever details like "shadow light" rear illumination and vented dish wheels bring a strong retro-futuristic feel.

Inside the Peralta S, Giugiaro masterfully bridges the past with the present. Many design elements from the 1970s have been retained, including leather-wrapped panels, seats, and the dashboard, which all nod to the golden age of automotive design. Enhanced with modern steering controls and updated air vents, the cabin highlights the duality of its identity: a classic-inspired supercar built on cutting-edge foundations. Fabrizio Giugiaro himself described the car as a celebration of the past, stating it embodies “a typical 1970s attitude”—carefully modernized to incorporate stunning design and performance cues. While this stunning vehicle will remain confined to the collection of its private owner, the Peralta S stands as a tribute to the artistry and engineering brilliance of the Giugiaro family.
