As Top Gear details, a Cosworth-developed 4.5-litre V10 produces around 1,000 hp and revs to a screaming 15,000 rpm, while an electric motor adds about 200 hp for a 1,200 hp total. Power reaches the rear wheels through a carbon fibre gearbox, making the RB17 one of the most extreme 1200 hp cars ever conceived.
