Savannah - the ecofriendly luxury yacht
The Feadship Savannah eco-friendly yacht made history in 2015 as the world's first hybrid superyacht, combining a diesel-electric propulsion system with a streamlined hull to deliver up to 30% fuel savings over a comparable conventional vessel. Built at Feadship's Aalsmeer shipyard in the Netherlands, the 83.5-metre motor yacht was designed by De Voogt Naval Architects with interiors by CG Design's Cristina Gherardi and Marcello Bozzarelli.
Savannah's Revolutionary Hybrid Propulsion System
Savannah's electro-mechanical hybrid propulsion combines a single diesel engine, three diesel-electric generators, a battery pack, a conventional propeller, and an azimuth thruster. This intelligent system lets the yacht operate in near-silent battery mode at anchor or at low speeds, and the power management architecture means the generators only run when genuinely needed. The result is an autonomy range of 6,500 nautical miles and a maximum speed of 17 knots, with a cruising speed of 14 knots.

Guest Accommodation and Layout
Savannah accommodates 12 guests across six suites: a master suite, a VIP stateroom, two double cabins, and additional guest accommodation. A crew of 24 handles all onboard operations. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure give her the structural depth her hybrid engineering demands while keeping displacement in check. Her iconic metallic-green exterior and floating superstructure silhouette make her instantly recognisable in any marina.

Savannah Underwater Lounge and Interior Highlights
Savannah's living spaces set a benchmark for luxury superyacht interiors. Highlights include multiple swimming pools, a fully equipped gym, and a curated modern art collection spread throughout the vessel. The standout feature is the underwater lounge positioned below the waterline, giving guests an extraordinary view directly into the sea. This combination of technical innovation and interior refinement earned the yacht recognition at multiple prestigious awards.

Award-Winning Recognition
Following her delivery, Savannah won the 2016 World Superyacht Award for Motor Yacht of the Year and Best Displacement Motor Yacht in her class. At the 2016 ShowBoats Design Awards she swept the exterior, interior, and holistic design categories simultaneously, a rare triple that underlines the coherence of the project from hull to furnishings.
