TMC Dumont - TheArsenale

Brazilian customs builder Tarso Marques knows no limit and his latest creation, what he defines ‘a hubless motorcycle with an airplane engine’, proves it. Tarso, former F1 and indycar driver, is the owner of TMC, customs house that already gave demonstration of his potential with several, crazy, cars and bikes projects.

The Dumont, so called in honour of Alberto Santos-Dumont, aviation pioneer and Brazilian national hero, won ‘Best of Show’ at this year’s Daytona Bike Week, the preeminent bike show for crazy concepts. The spokeless rims make the motorbike look like the ‘Tron’ bikes, but its 300HP engine make the movie ones looks like they are 50cc scooters.

Let’s say that this is not a tourer, or even a practical bike: the impressive 36-inch wheels sit high enough to block the rider's view and the rear one is dangerously near to the driver’s back. Further, it is equipped with a 300 HP Rolls-Royce Continental V6 engine from a 1960s aircraft, which should make the bike go fast enough to take off.
