Their newest model, the Electrified X2 is the small brother of the S2 flagship model of the Dutch bike builders. Unlike the S2, the X2 is a more fun-sized appropriated for dense cities. While no throttle is available to propel you without pedaling, there's a button that delivers an instant boost of speed. One of the VanMoof's selling points is how seriously they take the security of your bike. Their bikes incorporate an easy lock located in the back of the rear wheel's frame, activated by kicking it slightly. In case there's an attempted theft, the bike will sound an ear piercing alarm that will shoo away any thieves or attract enough attraction to make them run away. In case the bike ends up being stolen anyway, VanMoof's Bike Hunters team is instantly on the search to recover the bike. Its built in GPS tracking allows them to locate the bike in no time and in case it can't be recovered, you get a brand new one.
