Honda CB 750K by Ugly Motors

The Honda CB 750K by Ugly Motors is a custom vintage cafe racer built on an 1980s Honda CB750 four-cylinder, transformed by the Ugly Motors team into a low, fast, and visually striking brat-style machine that retains the classic silhouette of the original while replacing almost every component around it.

The Concept

Ugly Motors works with a clear brief: take donor bikes that have proven themselves mechanically and push them visually and dynamically as far as the build will allow. The Honda CB750 is one of the most significant motorcycles ever produced, the machine that defined the modern four-cylinder format in 1969 and remained relevant through the following decade. This K-series example from the 1980s brings the same mechanical foundation to a build that is unambiguously contemporary in stance and detail while staying true to the proportions and character that made the original worth preserving. Low, fast, and attention-commanding: the brief was achieved.

The Build

The 750cc DOHC four-cylinder engine was stripped, painted with Motip heat-resistant paint, and returned to the chassis in full working order. The frame and wheels received powder coating and varnishing. A custom aluminium top clamp with integrated speedo mount replaces the original. Clip-on handlebars use Suzuki SV650 fitting rings as the basis, paired with custom-made velocity stacks and a K&N filter mount. The new seat is built on a custom mount and finished with hand-stitched premium leather. All four indicators, the rear light mount, and the front fender are new. The registration plate mount and battery holder were fabricated and welded in-house by the Ugly Motors team. The tank received a full repaint. Every part that could be improved has been addressed, and nothing is stock.
