Benda Motorcycles has once again redefined small-capacity cruisers, unveiling the striking Napoleonbob 250 at EICMA 2024. Known for its innovative designs, Benda has delivered one of the most aggressive and captivating bobbers in the 250cc segment. The Napoleonbob exudes the commanding road presence of a larger motorcycle, thanks to its muscular aesthetics, girder-inspired forks, and thoughtfully engineered design details. From its flowing fuel tank to its floating single seat and flat handlebars, the bike projects classic bobber style with a thoroughly modern edge. Its standout design elements, like the V-twin engine and multi-link suspension systems, not only elevate its visual appeal but also improve ride quality for urban and touring enthusiasts alike.
The Napoleonbob 250 offers features that set it apart from many small-capacity bikes. While its retro-inspired girder forks are not functional, they conceal a modern telescopic fork design enhanced by supplementary dampers, enabling smooth handling and improved ride comfort. At the rear, the bike boasts a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension with preload adjustability, promising enhanced cruising over uneven roads. Performance-wise, the 249cc liquid-cooled V-twin delivers 25.48 horsepower and 25 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch for effortless gear transitions. The motorcycle weighs just 182 kilograms (about 400 lbs), making it nimble enough for new riders while still retaining a substantial riding feel.
Though compact, the Napoleonbob 250 is loaded with high-end features that rival those found on much larger cruisers. From front and rear disc brakes to a circular TFT dashboard and LED lighting, the attention to detail is impressive. Its low seat height of 29.5 inches (749mm), wide 18-inch tires, and short exhausts enhance the classic bobber vibe, while its long wheelbase of 60.8 inches ensures stability on the road. With bold color options and subtle branding that give it a premium feel, the Napoleonbob looks equally at home on bustling streets or bike show floors. While its small engine might seem unconventional for bobber enthusiasts, it perfectly balances style, accessibility, and functionality, making it a distinctive option in the 250cc cruiser category.
