Ever since the shutdown of Concorde in 2003, supersonic passenger travel has become nothing but a dream for most of us. Even at its peak, the plane had prices as high as its flying height. Boeing showed a potential concept that can very soon complete transocean flights in two hours. 

Despite having a fully fledged passenger plane look, it could also be used for military purposes much like some other hypersonic plane concepts floating around. Uniting forces with hypersonic specialists, Boeing wants to fly you across the Atlantic in just two hours and over the Pacific in three. Unveiled at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Atlanta, the concept stunned the public with its Mach 5 speed rating (6,713 km/h) with a cruising altitude of nearly 29000 meters. 

Flying to London to New York and back in a day could be very useful to businessmen who appreciate their time more than ever. A priority would also be military deployment in critical situations where every second counts. This concept is laid out far in the future and if the predictions are right, we could be experiencing this brain melting speeds in 20 or 30 years.
