MBUX SOUND DRIVE employs advanced software that enables music to dynamically respond to the car's driving dynamics, effectively turning the vehicle into a virtual musical instrument. This innovative integration delivers a harmonious amalgamation of motion and melody, fundamentally transforming the driving experience into an immersive and emotional musical journey.
The MBUX SOUND DRIVE technology is engineered to interpret various driving dynamics, including recuperation, acceleration, steering, and braking, converting them into real-time musical expressions. Notably, this novel feature empowers drivers to effectively “compose” music while behind the wheel, augmenting the in-car entertainment and driving experience. The long-term vision for MBUX SOUND DRIVE extends beyond a singular immersive sound experience. Mercedes-AMG aims to establish it as an open music platform, enabling artists worldwide to create tracks in an innovative immersive audio format using the MBUX SOUND DRIVE studio software. The rollout commences globally from mid-2024, becoming available on Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the second-generation MBUX system, and existing customers can access the MBUX Software Update via an over-the-air (OTA) update.
