PEUGEOT'S PLAYFUL REVIVAL: THE PINK 504 COUPE CONCEPT UNVEILED

Pink Peugeot 504 Coupe concept by Peugeot Design Lab

The Peugeot 504 Coupe new concept is a bubblegum pink, Pikes Peak inspired racer from Peugeot Design Lab that reimagines the 1960s 504 Coupe as a wild hill climb machine. Unveiled in February 2025 as a tribute to the French hip-hop group 113, this 504 coupe concept pairs a wide motorsport stance with cultural homage, nodding to the group's memorable 2000 performance at Les Victoires de la Musique. It is a styling study, not a production car, but it shows how Peugeot's in-house design team blends retro heritage with race-ready attitude.

What is the Peugeot 504 Coupe concept?

Peugeot Design Lab took the classic 504 Coupe and rebuilt its proportions for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the famous invitational race in Colorado. The result is a concept car 504 that is bigger, bolder and far more aggressive than the original, with a wide track, large geometric fenders and a distinctive double rear wing carrying the PEUGEOT name across the top. Pink vinyl-styled hubcaps are stamped with repeating 113 logos, turning every detail into a reference to the band that inspired the project.

Inside the pink Peugeot 504

The interior carries the same playful creativity as the bodywork. Checkered pink and blue prints cover both the seats and the flooring, echoing the vibrant exterior. The design team balanced retro-inspired touches with functional motorsport details, including chunky tires and extended, low front bumpers that read as both flashy and purposeful. The upgraded size and geometry make this 504 coupe Peugeot study a more formidable presence than its predecessor, even though it remains conceptual for now.

How many 504 concept variants are there?

Beyond the flashy pink version, Peugeot Design Lab created additional concept car 504 iterations, each with its own identity. The all-black model is optimized for drifting, with elongated tires and a sleek, racing-ready appearance, and it carries the 113 logo on its flank as a direct callback to the car the group used on stage. The silver version takes a more nuanced approach to colour, mixing tinted yellow windows with red and blue accents. Every iteration honours the 504's timeless appeal while layering in new artistry and function. You can read the full design story on designboom and a deeper look at the project on Hagerty.
