Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, has unveiled the full-size model of the winning design from its 2022 Design Contest, during the IAA 2023 in Munich. The “Polestar Synergy” electric fantasy supercar is an amalgamation of three winning designs selected from a pool of over 600 entries. This unique vehicle, which took six months of collaboration between the winners and the Polestar Design team, responds to a vehicle design brief centered around the experience of performance and sustainability.

In addition to the reveal of the real-scale model, Polestar also kicked off a new partnership with Mattel’s Hot Wheels brand. The next Polestar Design Contest receives inspiration from the imaginative and over-the-top designs of the Hot Wheels legacy. As a part of the collaboration, Polestar’s production vehicles will be reproduced as Hot Wheels and Matchbox series collectibles.

The final vehicle, the Polestar Synergy, features a single-seat style and an interior focusing on control. The French exterior designers, Devashish Deshmukh and Swapnil Desai, and the Chinese interior designer, Yingxiang Li, collaborated on this visionary project. Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, praised their vision and the resulting vehicle as a testament to the brilliance of electric vehicle design. After its debut in Munich, the Polestar Synergy embarked on a worldwide tour, beginning with the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in California.
