Porsche unveiled the Mission X, an all-electric concept car that reimagines the hypercar, drawing inspiration from the Porsche 918 Spyder. With compact proportions and bubbly fenders, the Mission X embraces chunky corner details and a distinct roof design. If it were to go into production, the car would feature a 900-volt battery system charging twice as fast as the Taycan Turbo S. Porsche claims it would be the fastest road-legal vehicle on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

The Mission X's unique door design opens upward, creating an open-sky experience, and its front profile resembles a scarab beetle. The two-seater concept has a short wheelbase similar to the 918 Spyder and staggered tire sizes for improved aerodynamics. Inside, the cabin exudes a retro-futuristic vibe with a steering yoke, 80s sports car design elements, and a modular attachment area displaying a stopwatch module for tracking lap times and driver data.

The Mission X's "PORSCHE" badge and red LED strips at the rear give it a striking 3D effect. The battery bank is centrally located behind the seats, following an "e-core layout" inspired by traditional mid-engine cars. Porsche's previous electric concept, the Mission E, introduced in 2015, evolved into the Porsche Taycan. With the Mission X, Porsche continues its commitment to electric mobility and pushes the boundaries of design and performance in the hypercar segment.
