Priced at 102,900 for the high-end "Signature" variant, the Afeela 1 is now available for pre-order exclusively to California residents with a $200 reservation fee. Featuring a 482-horsepower all-wheel-drive powertrain and a 91-kWh battery pack, the EV offers an EPA-estimated range of 300 miles and compatibility with Tesla's Supercharger network. While it doesn't boast record-setting performance figures, the Afeela 1 targets tech enthusiasts with its advanced onboard systems and AI integration.
This EV sets itself apart with an array of 40 cameras and sensors supporting Level 2+ driver assistance, with the promise of a Level 3 autonomous driving upgrade in the future. The interior features a dashboard-length screen, an AI voice assistant, and entertainment options powered by Sony's expertise in audio and visual technology.
