Sony’s Afeela 1 signals its intention not to compete in the mid-range EV space but rather rival luxury brands such as Tesla and Lucid. With a design focus on comfort, technology, and convenience, the Afeela 1 caters to consumers looking for a cutting-edge driving experience. The exterior design is sleek and modern, while the dashboard’s themes reflect the integration of Sony’s entertainment legacy into the automotive world. Despite its high price point and limited initial availability in California, the Afeela 1 showcases how Sony and Honda are leveraging their technological expertise to reshape the premium EV landscape. Shipping is expected to begin in mid-2026 for the Signature variant, with the Origin trim following in 2027.
