TAMIYA WILD ONE MAX: UNVEILING THE THRILLING FEATURES - TheArsenale

The highly anticipated Tamiya Wild One MAX is set to make its debut with the limited-run Launch Edition this Summer. Based on the original Tamiya Wild One (58050) radio-controlled car, the Launch Edition showcases impressive features and a full-scale design. It includes Cobra bucket seats with 4-point harnesses, an IP-rated 5" digital screen with marine specification switches, Brembo disc brakes, Bilstein dampers with Eibach springs, and 14" Maxxis off-road tires.

Notable adjustments have been made for safety and comfort. The cockpit has been widened to accommodate two occupants, and the front suspension has been upgraded from a 'trailing arm' design to double wishbone. The car's size has increased to 3.6m long and 1.9m wide. Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate its 270mm ground clearance, 34.1-degree approach angle, 28.4-degree breakover angle, and 50.8-degree departure angle. The Launch Edition also offers an optional windscreen and wiper mechanism for practicality.

Powered by eight removable battery packs with a total capacity of 14.4kWh, the Launch Edition reaches a top speed of approximately 60 mph (96.5 km/h). The vehicle's weight is estimated to be around 500kg. For road legality, a road legal pack is available under L7e quadricycle regulations in the UK and EU. Production of the Launch Edition will begin in early 2024, fully assembled by The Little Car Company. It sets a new standard for the Wild One MAX, with enhanced size, performance, and usability, while future versions will offer a variety of performance options.
