As a tangible demonstration of the state-of-the-art technology set to underpin the upcoming all-electric Porsche Macan, the 850 Fantom Air is handcrafted at Frauscher's facility in Ohlsdorf, symbolizing Porsche's thrilling plunge into the world of high-speed maritime travel. The boat haunted Lake Garda in Italy with its impressive prowess during its arduous developmental stage and is scheduled to make its maiden public appearance at the Düsseldorf International Boat Show in 2024 before becoming available for purchase.
Based on the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air day cruiser, the Porsche variant stands at a substantial 8.67m accommodating up to nine passengers comfortably. The boat's design includes a swim platform and two sun loungers at the rear, with additional seating up front. The steering wheel, adorned in classic Porsche design, and cockpit seats embellished with the Porsche shield, are constructed from robust materials resistant to salt and spray. Interior seating is upholstered in artificial leather, a testament to the thoughtful design adapted for maritime conditions.
A closer look at the speedboat’s specifications reveals that the 'eFantom Air' harbors drivetrain technology directly borrowed from the heart of the new Macan.
