The Gemballa Marsien is a limited-edition, off-road-capable supercar built on the Porsche 911 Turbo S platform by Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH, producing up to 830 horsepower and priced at 495,000 euros plus the donor vehicle. Named after the French word for Martian, the Marsien is built to cross deserts, mountain trails, and highways equally, with adjustable ground clearance of up to 250 mm and terrain-specific drive modes, all wrapped in a full carbon fiber body.
The Foundation: A Porsche 911 Turbo S Transformed
Marc Philipp Gemballa did not start from a blank sheet. The Marsien is a conversion of the Porsche 911 Turbo S, which means it inherits the base chassis integrity of one of the world's most refined sports cars. What changes is nearly everything else. The body is replaced entirely with carbon fiber panels, including a muscular bonnet with a large air scoop, sport-focused front bumper, and oval-shaped headlights flanked by forged aluminum wheels fitted with Michelin All-Terrain tires.
The conversion takes two years to complete per unit, which explains both the exclusivity and the price. Every component has been developed in partnership with specialist suppliers: the LED taillights with GERG Lighthouse, the suspension with KW automotive, and the engine with RUF Automobile.
Engine: 750 to 830 HP from a RUF-Developed Flat-Six
The powertrain is a 3.7-liter flat-six boxer engine developed in collaboration with RUF Automobile, the legendary Porsche engine specialist. In standard configuration, it delivers 750 hp and 930 Nm of torque. Owners can opt for a second-stage upgrade that reprograms the VTG turbochargers and ECU mapping to unlock 830 hp, a figure that translates to a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h. The exhaust note is handled by Akrapovic, who developed a full titanium exhaust system specifically for the Marsien.
Suspension and Off-Road Capability
The most distinctive engineering achievement of the Marsien is its bespoke suspension system. KW automotive developed a double-wishbone design with intelligent active damper control and electronically controlled hydraulic lift. At the press of a button, the ride height raises to provide up to 250 mm of ground clearance, shifting the car into one of four terrain-specific modes: gravel, sand, mud, or snow. This is genuine off-road capability, not a styling gesture, built into a car that can also lap a circuit at 335 km/h.
Interior: Carbon, Leather, and Carrera GT Heritage
Inside, the Marsien is finished in full leather or Alcantara with hand-trimmed surfaces throughout. The center console takes direct inspiration from the Porsche Carrera GT, with a carbon fiber design that acknowledges the heritage of the donor platform while firmly positioning the Marsien as something entirely new. GT-style door pulls and carbon fiber accents complete the cockpit. Bespoke aluminum wheels with a center lock system, developed specifically for the Marsien, carry Michelin performance tires tuned to work across the full range of terrain modes.
Exclusivity: 40 Units, All Delivered
The Marsien is limited to exactly 40 units at 495,000 euros each, plus the cost of the donor 911 Turbo S. All 40 have been sold and are in the process of delivery to clients worldwide. The combination of an ultra-limited run, a two-year build time, and partnerships with RUF, KW, Akrapovic, and GERG Lighthouse creates a vehicle that is as much a collector's piece as it is a performance tool.
