WESTBROOK RACING AND THEARSENALE ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO DRIVE INNOVATION IN SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
Westbrook Racing and TheArsenale announce a landmark partnership in sustainable electric watercraft racing, joining forces at the E1 Series Grand Prix on Lake Como in August 2024. With global icon Will Smith as team owner, this collaboration signals a new chapter in performance-driven, zero-emission mobility.
Two Visions, One Mission: Electric Racing on Water
The E1 Series is the world's first all-electric powerboat championship. Every team races identical RaceBird craft, one-seat electric hydrofoils powered by a 150 kW (200 hp) outboard motor capable of reaching 93 km/h and lifting above the water on hydrofoils from 31 km/h. The format strips away unfair mechanical advantages and focuses everything on skill, strategy, and sustainable engineering.
Westbrook Racing, named as a nod to Will Smith's West Philadelphia roots, made its debut at the E1 Venice Grand Prix in May 2024 and claimed its maiden victory at Lake Como that August. TheArsenale, a platform dedicated to the future of mobility, was present at that victory race as an official partner. The TheArsenale logo now appears on the Westbrook Racing RaceBird.

What the Partnership Covers
Beyond the logo placement, the collaboration between Westbrook Racing and TheArsenale is built around several concrete initiatives: bespoke co-branded collections, shared revenue projects, and live event activations. The goal is to amplify the message that high-performance competition and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive.

Yan Lefort, Commercial Marketing Director at Westbrook Racing, described the fit: "This partnership allows us to explore new frontiers in sustainable mobility, while also engaging with our fans in fresh and exciting ways. Together, we aim to set new standards not only in racing but in the broader mobility landscape."

Pat Meignan, CEO of TheArsenale, added: "Partnering with Westbrook Racing, a team that shares our passion for innovation and sustainability, is a natural fit. We are excited to bring our expertise in design and technology to the world of electric watercraft racing and to collaborate on projects that will inspire the next generation of visionaries."

Why Electric Watercraft Racing Matters
The E1 Series represents a rare category: elite motorsport that is entirely emission-free at the point of use. Racing electric hydrofoils at speed on open water creates a compelling, highly visible proof of concept for what electric propulsion can achieve. For both Westbrook Racing and TheArsenale, the E1 arena is precisely where performance, innovation, and sustainability converge in a way that resonates far beyond the race circuit.
