Beyond its striking exterior, the E10 introduces a flowing curve motif along its cars, maintaining the signature Shinkansen aesthetic while offering a contemporary twist.

E10 vs E5 Shinkansen: safety and accessibility upgrades

Scheduled for completion by fall 2027, with commercial operations beginning by 2030, the E10 Shinkansen not only prioritizes design but also advances rail safety and passenger convenience. As the successor to the E2 and E5 series, the train seamlessly incorporates advanced features designed to enhance both comfort and safety, including earthquake-resistant L-shaped vehicle guides and lateral dampers to minimize vibrations.
