XPENG AEROHT'S FUTURISTIC FLYING CAR SET FOR 2026 LAUNCH UNDER $280,000

XPENG AEROHT'S FUTURISTIC FLYING CAR SET FOR 2026 LAUNCH UNDER $280,000 - TheArsenale

Looking for a flying car for sale in 2026? XPeng AeroHT, the electric air mobility arm of XPeng Inc., is among the closest to delivering one. Its modular Land Aircraft Carrier is slated for a market debut in 2026 at no more than $280,000, marrying the practicality of a ground vehicle with the technology of an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. After more than a decade developing eVTOLs, AeroHT is turning the flying car from concept into a vehicle you can actually order.

What is the XPeng AeroHT Land Aircraft Carrier?

The Land Aircraft Carrier is a major leap forward for flying cars, combining XPeng's electric vehicle design heritage with pioneering aerospace technology. It is a modular system: a six-wheeled, range-extended mothership that houses a detachable two-seat eVTOL aircraft. The project was publicly introduced at XPeng's annual event alongside other models like the X3, and it builds directly on the brand's earlier XPeng X2 eVTOL flying car, which has already completed public test flights. As Electrek reports, the aircraft uses extensive carbon fiber to save weight.

How much will the XPeng flying car cost?

XPeng has signalled a price of no more than $280,000, roughly 2 million RMB, putting a genuine flying car within reach of well-heeled early adopters rather than only governments and corporations. Following successful test flights of the X2 model, the Land Aircraft Carrier is next in line for crewed public demonstrations, and demand has been strong, with thousands of pre-orders reported. Autocar confirms the vehicle remains on track for a 2026 launch.

When will the XPeng flying car be available?

Production was timed around a purpose-built facility in Guangzhou, China, designed to scale AeroHT's manufacturing capacity towards 10,000 eVTOLs annually and cement its goal of becoming a global leader in electric vertical takeoff and landing technology. Backed by substantial investment rounds, AeroHT is moving from prototypes to mass production and first customer deliveries, blending the lines between road and sky.
