The Jet Shark submarine is a shark-inspired semi-submersible boat from Rob Innes, the New Zealand designer behind the famous Seabreacher. Built to carry up to four passengers in a climate-controlled cockpit, the Jet Shark cruises fast on the surface and dives just below it, blending powerboat performance with the thrill of underwater excursions.

Rob Innes, a New Zealander, is no stranger to designing innovative aquatic vessels, having already created the Seabreacher. Not content to rest on his laurels, he unveiled his latest creation: the Jet Shark. What is the Jet Shark cockpit like?
This new craft takes inspiration from the sleek design of a shark for its hydrodynamic form. The Jet Shark accommodates four passengers in a comfortable cockpit that features air conditioning and dual controls for the front seats. The watertight cabin is fully climate-controlled and fitted with panoramic windows, so passengers can take in the views both above and below the surface, making every trip part powerboat ride and part underwater adventure.
How fast is the Jet Shark submarine?
The gullwing canopy can be opened or closed for underwater excursions of up to six feet. With performance a top priority, the Jet Shark is powered by a Kodiak Marine V8 engine, a marinised version of the latest-generation Corvette 6.2-litre V8, and can reach speeds of 43 knots on the surface and 17 knots below the water. As New Atlas reports, future variants will offer supercharged engines and seating for up to six occupants.
