Vehicle Description
The acronym Superbike says it all. The Ducati 851 is a motorcycle model presented by the Ducati motorcycle manufacturer in 1987 and designed by Ing. Massimo Bordi and was the first new model presented after the acquisition of the same by Cagiva, which took place in May 1985.
The name "851" is the exact displacement of the engine and inaugurates the Ducati tradition, reserved for road sports cars, of using this data to give the name to the model.
